Left Koa Tao at 9.30 am and arrived in Bangkok at 9.30 pm. I was under a misapprehension! I thought the journey was all by boat. But it was 2 hours on the ferry and 8 hours on a bus. If I'd thought at all about about the distance involved I would have known something was wrong to be able to do it all by boat in that timescale! But there you go and here I am in Bankok. Well, I got here yesterday actually and it's now close to 7.00 pm on the day after. By the time I got to the hotel and went out for something to eat it was close to midnight so it was straight to bed.
Some pictures from the ferry part of the journey attached. Ko Tao is in the wake of the ferry boat on the first one. And the second is looking out across the Gulf of Thailand. Nothing as far as the eye can see!! There's another from the ferry boat and one from the beach at Lomprey, where we ditched the ferry for the bus.
