Took a motorcycle out for the day and did some serious miles around the island's coastline. Given that Ko Samui is one of Thailand most sought after island destinations I have to say that in places it was very Phuket like; over developed in a rather ambivalent way. There were a number of very nice stretches of coastline but they were totally spoiled by the 'tack' surrounding them. Nothing quite as bad as Patong here though I'm pleased to say!! Off to Ko Tao tomorrow for a couple of days and then on to Bangkok!!
